Ejectors

(Venture Type)

Ejectors

An MSRL & PP Ejector in a water treatment plant is a device used for mixing and dosing chemicals into water. It works on the venturi principle, where water under pressure flows through a nozzle creating a vacuum, which sucks in the chemical and mixes it with the main water stream.

Key Functions of Ejectors in Water Treatment

1. Chemical Dosing
o Used to introduce chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, or other disinfectants into the water.
o Ensures proper mixing and uniform distribution.

2. Mixing & Agitation
o Provides turbulence and ensures homogeneous mixing of chemicals.

Advantages

• Simple design (no moving parts → low maintenance).
• Operates on water pressure (no external power for suction).
• Compact and easy to install inline.
• Reliable and cost-effective.

Applications in Water Treatment Plant

• Chemical dosing ejector – for coagulants, antiscalants, or neutralizing agents.
